I see Florida is starting to get the right idea about handling invasive species; boa constrictors and pythons, in their case. Unfortunately, their efforts are doomed to failure because their approach is all wrong. It seems that "Regular Folk" aren't allowed to go after these things and Florida is using Rangers to hunt them. Wouldn't it be better to put a bounty on these snakes and give the poor, unwashed masses a chance to make a buck or two while also ridding the Everglades of a serious nuisance? They might even consider putting out an "invasive snake cookbook" to increase the appeal. Just a thought.
