  • Recycle And Re-use
Recycle means to process old, used items in order that the material can be used to make new products. Examples of things that are often recycled are glass, plastic, newspapers, aluminum cans, used motor oil, and batteries. Here, reduce refers to lessening the amount of items or resources that are consumed, using only the amount that is needed, and looking for alternatives that will lessen our use. And reuse means extending the 'life' or repurposing an item rather than discarding or throwing it away.

How to skin logs by Angel on Sun May 02, 2010 10:19 am
How To Skin Logs

I tried skinning a log that fell down from the weather a few weeks ago, but the log was so dry. If you skin them as soon as you cut them they will be WET then, it will be easier to peel the bark off of it using the draw blade I have mentioned. Skinning the log works great with a draw blade that has two handles for easy skinning. You just take the blade as it has one handle on each side of the blade and you work it from top to bottom at a angle so thebark comes off easier and less elbow muscle. It was my first time, and it was a cinch so im happy to say that I will be doing this more often. Watch the video, and you will understand that to skin bark off a log as you will have to have the blade angled to get better results. As this was my first time, I did not know what to expect but, I can tell you this, it wasn't what I expected. You can make log furniture once the logs are skinned and dried and after you stain paint it, it will look nice as a piece of furniture that...

Pay Day! by Blueflame4 on Fri May 04, 2012 3:04 pm
I used to love pay day just because that meant it was Friday and I had a whole two days to sleep in and relax. The check itself mattered little to me since it was almost always gone before I cashed it...
