So, I have never done a blog before, but I figure it it kind of like a journal to just put down what's going on in your life. I have never done a journal either, even though I've been told many times it is a good thing to do; very therapeutic. So here goes:
I went back out to the range again today. I went two weeks ago and shot a "lousy" 34 out of 40! So when I heard we'd have another chance to go out, I jumped on it. The Army just can't leave well enough alone, I tell you! The old way of doing things was so much simpler in my opinion, but it's a kinder/gentler Army now, and they had to go messing with the standard. The Old Paper Target Standard: 10 targets, ranging in size from 50 meters to 300 meters. 40 rounds, 1ea 20 round mag, 2 ea 10 round mags. Simple as pie, put four rounds in each target. 20 rounds shot from the prone supported position; 2 rds in ea target, 10 from prone unsupported position; 1 rd in ea target, 10 from kneeling position; 1 rd in ea target....
